Vicenza is exactly like this. Behind the doors, guarded by severe
and elegant façades with stone-trimmed balconies, are the gardens.
In here, illuminated owners did not build parking lots. They instead kept the gardens.
On a beautiful late summer evening, right in this well-kept and wonderfully free and disheveled
garden was presented the novel "Adesso che sei qui" (Now that you are here).
There was a fragrant Osmanthus to act as a noble background. There was the
Eriocapitella hupehensis to shine here and there. There was the Trachelospermum
jasminoides to play with the stones of the surrounding wall, and then the hibiscus,
the hydrangeas, oak trees, the aromatic plants, many aromatic plants and there was Lucia,
the Lady of the garden, impeccable host, wonderful storyteller of the house, of the family,
of the city, of history.
An enchantment.
Thank you thank you thank you.
